Demtec Den Soil Hoppers

If you own a potting machine or tray filler it’s easy to understand the importance of a large soil hopper on your machine. Most of our machines have hoppers ranging from 600 L to 4000L. The Demtec Den 6m3 provides the buffer between mixer and machine allowing uninterrupted production processes – delivering soil on an on-demand basis. The machine is set to discharge into the  receiving hopper without operator intervention. Most tray fillers or potting machines operate without a full load in the hopper. The Den brings added advantage by allowing the machine it feeds, to operate at its optimum level.

We have different versions of this machine available: The static version on legs and the mobile version on wheels, with either 6000L or 10,000 L versions .

The Den is suitable for heavy soils and features a full width conveyor belt in the bottom, with rollers at close spacing to reduce effort and improve efficiency. The machines are all built on a proper chassis and the mobile versions can be towed. Demtec also produce a VDB version that is only suitable for peat mixes and therefore due to the weight of most Australasian soil mixes we do not recommend this model unless we have a sample of the media to be used.
