We are very excited to introduce iFIX an AI-powered nursery expert designed to help commercial growers identify machinery issues in seconds, reduce downtime and improve access to technical support.
iFIX has been purpose-built for customers using Da Ros nursery automation and is believed to be a first for Australasia’s horticultural machinery sector.
As nurseries continue investing in automation to improve productivity, increase crop yields and address labour challenges, machinery has become more capable than ever.
But what happens when something goes wrong? Every minute of downtime costs time and money. Operator manuals are often hundreds of pages long, parts catalogues sit separately, and useful content like ‘how-to’ videos can be scattered across different platforms.
None of that is practical. And crops wait for no-one.
With iFIX, growers can ask a question in plain language from any device and receive instant guidance to help identify the issue, understand the likely cause, and determine the next steps.
For straightforward operational questions, iFIX can often provide an immediate solution. Where specialist repairs are required, it equips growers with the information they need to engage the right electrician or local service provider without delay, including any relevant replacement part numbers.
Unlike general-purpose AI tools, iFIX has been purpose-built for Da Ros nursery automation. It only answers using verified technical resources, giving growers trusted guidance with page numbers and citations back to the original manuals and documentation. Transplant Systems describes the platform as “grounded AI, not guesswork.”
“Our customers invest in nursery automation to improve productivity, so when they need support, they need answers quickly,” says Ernie Wearmouth.
“For simple machinery questions, growers can often resolve the issue immediately. When specialist repairs are needed, iFIX helps them understand what’s wrong and gives them the info they need to get repairs underway sooner. It won’t replace our people, but it will help customers reduce downtime and free our team to focus on higher-value service.”

Powerful data behind the scenes
By signing in to iFIX, growers can access support tailored to their own Da Ros equipment. Their machines are already linked to their account, so answers are directly for their models. Staff can also have their own secure login under the same nursery account.
Every question submitted through the platform is analysed, helping Transplant Systems identify common support requests, improve technical documentation and develop new training resources. This creates a continuous feedback loop that strengthens the platform and delivers even better support over time.
Growers who prefer not to sign in can still use iFIX as a guest.
Designed and built entirely in-house, iFIX has been trialled with a select group of nurseries since April 2026. It currently supports Da Ros nursery automation, with the ability to expand across additional products over time.
